A Gel Plus variation provides additional shock absorption (not available in all markets)
The Gel is created by blending plant oils and converting them into a polyurethane using a natural enzyme process. This is efficient, natural and uses very little electricity.
The Gel layer is very thin, and stays in liquid form that is encapsulated in a resilient solid matrix which does not break down. This uniquely provides very long-lasting cushioning resilience, 98% over 10 years. Essentially the force reduction (17%) never ends, which gives an excellent performance return on the investment.
Because it is extra thin and delivers area deformation, the Gel layer is able to return the athletes’ energy instantaneously (70% energy return), while removing the traditional hard court shock that normally returns into the body causing pain, injuries and fatigue.
This unique combination of 17% down & 70% back delivers the perfect combination of ‘happy knees & fast feet’.

The Laykold Advantage system is comprised of factory-textured colors using a select blend of silica sands.
Laykold ColorCoat
Laykold ColorCoat variation gives the installer the option of adding sand onsite, which removes the need to ship sand from the factory.
Laykold ColorFlex
Laykold ColorFlex is highly recommended when future substrate cracking is a concern. In this system, the acrylic resurfacer is replaced by Laykold NuSurf, which has 800% greater elongation properties. Using Laykold NuSurf as a precaution can save significant future problems for installers, facilities owners and players.
